(Dried fish market – a outstanding spot for Vietnam's seafood industry in 2023)

In the first five months of 2023, Headway JSC shipped 70 cont 40RH dried fish to the Chinese market, increasing export turnover for Vietnam's seafood industry.

According to statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first five months of 2023, key seafood exports reached US$3.43 billion, down 25.9% over the same period of last year; However, dried and canned fish products grew strongly due to changes in consumer demand.

In April 2023 alone, according to Vasep, the export quantity of dried fish reached nearly US$26 million, an increase of 65%, because the dried fish market has a lower selling price than fresh products, long-term storage time, etc. This is also considered an outstanding spot in the industry under the downward pressure of the world economy.

Besides exporting to China, which is the main market for dried fish in Vietnam, Headway has been exploiting this item to other countries such as Taiwan, Iran, Hamburg, UAE, Malaysia with a steady export quantity in the first months of 2023.
