Recently, Headway JSC successfully completed a door-to-door transportation service for a shipment of uniforms and educational supplies imported from Singapore to Vietnam. The shipment featured special characteristics, including a wide range of school-related products with multiple HS codes and classifications, requiring strict schedule control and fast customs clearance.

The project serves as proof of Headway’s capability to provide integrated Less than Container Load (LCL) transportation solutions, helping customers optimize costs while maintaining operational efficiency.

Integrated LCL solution – Cost optimization for small shipments

With the characteristics of small shipment volume and diversified cargo types that were insufficient for a full container load, Headway and its agent HW collaborated to consult and implement an LCL consolidation solution to optimize logistics costs for the customer:

• Cargo consolidation and container stuffing (LCL Consolidation): HW agent arranged cargo pick-up, handled related export procedures, and consolidated cargo at the CFS warehouse in Singapore, efficiently combining shipments and charging based on actual CBM.
• Customs classification & declaration consultancy: determining accurate HS codes for multiple product groups, standardizing documentation, and reducing port storage time.
• Domestic transportation coordination: arranging trucking, cargo counting, and delivering directly to the customer’s warehouse according to the committed schedule.
• End-to-end logistics management: comprehensive control from cargo pick-up to final delivery point.
